About Julie Shifrin

My travel career has evolved over the last 16 years.

As a  stay at home mom with a need to expand my horizons.  My dear friend
was the sales rep for Club Med, and needed an assistant.  She could not
pay me, but offered me free travel.  I jumped at the opportunity and
worked for two years without a pay check.  When the territory opened up, I
became the district sales manager for the Midwest.

Two years later, the position was too much for a single mom and I moved to
the other side of the desk as an inside agent.  I have built a busy
practice through hard work, love of travel, and a genuine respect and
affection for my clients.  There is always something new to learn and
certainly more places to explore.

Sorry I missed you today.  I left a message on your VM. Jules we  had a
wonderful trip.  A real life experience.  This trip rates up  there as one
of  our favorites.  Everyday was a highlight and  exciting.  Winnie
prepared a  wonderful itinerary for us.  I would love  her email so I can
let her know.

The accommodations at every stop were first class.  The food was
excellent.  We ate mostly at our hotels.  Angkor Wat is the  ultimate of
all stops,  our Cambodia guide was the best.  Our guide in  Saigon was
also excellent.   The only weak guide we had was in Hanoi. His English
and knowledge was weak  at best.  He gave us a rating form but he looks
at it so I felt bad really  telling the truth.

I want to thank you and Winnie for keeping us informed about the  problems
in Bangkok.  WE knew there was civil unrest but didn’t know about the
state  department alert.  We were very happy in Hong Kong.  How could you
not be  at the Peninsula, the grand dame of all hotels as far as I am
concerned. Spent our last day shopping. It all worked out perfectly.

As you know Gayle and I will be in Chicago May 20-23. We would like  to
take you and Winnie to lunch on Friday May 21. Would you be willing to
come  downtown?  Once I get Winnie’s email I will ask her as well.  Let
me know  if it’s possible for you.

How was Andrew’s birthday.  Did you meet the in-laws!!!
