About Karen Howland

I have always suffered from wanderlust! I’ve lived all over the U.S. and Europe as an “Army brat” and a naval officer’s wife, studied history, geography and politics in college, and planned trips for my family that would introduce them to other cultures.

After sending my sons off to college, I decided to share my passion for seeing the world and formally joined the travel industry. Now, eighteen years later, as a professional travel advisor and manager at Lake Shore Travel, I strive to create extraordinary experiences and a life time of memories for my clients. I love the challenge of finding destinations and planning itineraries that will please everyone from age 5 to 95, be it elephant riding in Thailand, spotting the Big Five in Africa, or cruising down the Rhine past centuries old castles.
