Italy
My clients can’t wait to visit Italy! Whether first-time or repeat visitors, all are eager to enjoy Italy’s historic and artistic heritage; its culture, gastronomy, cutting-edge design, sybaritic pleasures, and the art of il dolce far niente—the sweet doing nothing! Italy is a country for lovers of all that is good in life. From the mountains to the coasts, the emphasis is on simple pleasures and excellent quality. Repeaters want to try new areas, including Puglia in the south, the Dolomite Mountains, and the Piedmont region.
The Galapagos Islands
I’m seeing great interest in The Galapagos Islands, located 1,000 kilometers from the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. Nineteen in all, the islands provide diverse landscapes and a full itinerary! My clients are captivated by:
- The remote beaches, with their white sand and turquoise-blue water
- Frequent encounters with wildlife, especially giant tortoises and penguins on the beach and snorkeling among sea lions and turtles
- Watching their kids step into the footprints of Charles Darwin, seeing firsthand what inspired his theory of evolution. Travel is the ultimate form of education!

South and East Africa
Africa is calling my clients! Some want to visit South Africa to experience its magnificent game parks and Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Others want to go deep into central southern Africa to see the “old Africa” of Botswana and the glorious Victoria Falls. Others feel the magical pull of Tanzania and Kenya, traditional safari destinations to which clients return year after year to see the Great Migration and to experience the land of the famous movie, “Out of Africa.”
Peru
First on my bucket list is Peru, South America. With unspoiled beaches, coastal desert, deep canyons and dense Amazon jungle, its variety of natural wonders is astonishing.
Then there are the cultural treasures. The contrast between old and new runs throughout the land: Poncho-clad indigenous peoples walk their llamas through modern cities, past Spanish cathedrals built on the foundations of ancient Incan ruins. Giant, stylized designs were etched in the earth by the Nazca—a great pre-Columbian civilization.
Can’t wait to visit: The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, and Cusco to name a few.
Chile
Between the Pacific Ocean and the base of the Andes—one of world’s great mountain ranges—Chile boasts some of the world’s most varied and dramatic landscapes. When in Chile, one can enjoy the wine production, desert flora and fauna, fly-fishing, skiing, river rafting and kayaking, and hiking through stunning Patagonian landscapes.
Ecuador
I can’t wait to visit Ecuador! Although geographically small, this is a destination that offers it all: historical towns, a rich cultural heritage, fabulous food and a diverse topography of stunning landscapes, among them the Amazon jungle; the Andean highlands; volcanoes; the Mashpi Reserve, and the iconic Galapagos Islands. Equador is tailor-made for thrill seekers, who will find paragliding; rock climbing; jungle trekking; white-water rafting; bungee jumping and the “Swing at the End of the World” all in the adventure capital of Banos.
